2016 Smasne Cellars Roosevelt Ridge Petit Syrah - $38. We really like the wines coming from this little vineyard that is nestled on the rock cliffs along the Columbia River. The water influence and wind at this location adds some Terroir. Dark, inky, and deeply concentrated. Blackberry jam, huckleberry, dried tobacco, mocha, and red raspberry are balanced with bright acidity, subtle French oak, and bold structure. It’s rich texture and complexity leads to a full mouthfeel and stunning finish.
