A rich bold Malbec that takes the best of three vineyards and combines them into a complely crafted wine. It has rich blackberry and raspberry jam flavors that lead way to refined tannins, lush texture, and oak highlights.
Smasne Cellars 2014 Three Vineyard Reserve Malbec - $54. We absolutely love Malbec and holding this one back for a later release was not easy to do but we love the results of our patience. It opens with dark fruit, boysenberry jam with hints of bright huckleberry and raspberry. It is lush, silky and refined but builds around a solid structure with a backbone of new oak and an incredible balance to finish.
