Smasne Cellars May Library - 5 Pack
Smasne Cellars Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This would have been the wineries’ 6th vintage of cab Sauv. It has evolved with a beautiful nose and rich texture. Dark fruit and tobacco leaves give way to a bold, complex Cabernet that still has a lot of depth and life ahead of it.
Smasne Cellars Three Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. When I first tasted this my initial reaction was WOW, what an incredible wine and so thankful for patience. Very aromatic, deeply textured with a sophisticated richness that leads to gritty, firm tannins.
Smasne Cellars Konner Ray Red. This would have been the 6th release of this blend. 2012 was an incredible vintage and all the wines from it continue to age gracefully. It is lush and refined with an exotically balanced mouthfeel. Dark cherry, plumb and raspberry fill the palette of this very expressive and complex wine.
Smasne Cellars Petit Verdot. It was big and bold upon release, and it still is. Cassis, dark berry, cured meats and earthy notes lead to an amazing texture. Blueberry and black raspberry are highlighted by a deep, rich and concentrated length of finish.
Smasne Cellars Scooteney Flats Vineyard Red Mountain Malbec. Deeply colored with Raspberry, dark currant and lush blackberry jam and Marion Berry. Bold for a Malbec yet very refined and fruit driven. The new oak is very integrated into its texture and has a very rewarding finish.
